Sandy Boardwalk

Join the Municipal Art Society for the next event in our Road to Resilience series, The Road Forward: Putting Resilience into Action. Following the release of the Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency (SIRR) report, this convening will provide a forum for the SIRR team to present their recommendations outlined in their report. It will also be an opportunity for conference participants to take a critical look at the various report recommendations, discuss their implementation, and consider what else is needed for a comprehensive resilience strategy for New York. The event will include an opening panel with key members from the SIRR team providing an overview of the SIRR report. Following, community leaders, civic officials, innovative entrepreneurs, New York residents, and urban planning and design practitioners will have a chance to discuss the recommendations in break-out discussion groups tailored to the subjects highlighted in the report. The convening will culminate with a question and answer session with the SIRR team, and a final panel session featuring government officials from the federal, state, and city resilience efforts discussing the road forward towards a resilient New York.

This event is free, but registration is required. Please click the registration button below to select a break-out session in which you would like to participate.  Your registration includes the morning and afternoon plenary sessions. MAS would like to thank our partner The New School for their support.
